 Relevant Skills  Demonstrated ability and functional knowledge of electronic cost control tools, including spreadsheets and data base tools (Access). Demonstrated strong technical competence in the area of cost control, tracking, forecasting and reporting. Ability to interpret cost and schedule data and prepare long and short range forecasts. Ability to interpret cost and progress data to verify contractor claimed progress. SAP exposure with understanding of SAP functionality 
 Job Description  Participate in early project activities related to reviewing/upgrading contractor’s cost control organization and procedures. Set up a project cost control system in SAP or other electronic cost application. Appraise performance of contractor’s cost control personnel. Monitor and appraise project elements outside the contractor’s responsibility, such as: a. Owner PMT cost b. Owner change Assure cost related information including analysis of deviations from budget is accurate and communicated to PMT management Coordinate flow of information related to contractor input into the contractor’s estimate and to the recasting effort associated with the control estimate. Development and implements cost control and invoice processing systems Provide cost variance analysis. Assure accuracy and timeliness of data collection for cost measurement. Prepare overall cost report analysis for the project manager’s monthly progress report. Assist PMT in developing, understanding and managing owner’s cost. Advise project manager on the cost impact of potential changes. Review contractor’s change proposals for completeness and adequacy of costs. Assure proper registration of changes. Establish liaison with the financial control personnel in order to avoid unnecessary duplication of effort and to maximize the effective use of resources. Coordinate all budgetary provisions (cash calls). Provide cost forecast for project team management. Provide contingency drawdown analysis for project team management. Assist in the development and implementation of improved cost control techniques and methods. Work in a team environment with Cost Estimating and Planning and Scheduling to ensure best application of integrated project control techniques. 
 Other Requirements  Responsible for ensuring the adequacy of the contractors cost control systems, methods and procedures for monitoring, analyzing, forecasting and controlling contractor and company capital and expense costs. Also responsible for analyzing contractor cost data and forecasting project cost to keep project management informed and aware of any potential project cost changes. TERMS & CONDITIONS Work based location : Head Quarters - Abu Dhabi Work schedule : 40 Hrs per week (5 days On and 2 days OFF) or as per client requirements, 38 calendar days annual leave.
